I have a confession, when I first saw Gaga in "Born This Way" video I said "my god she's ugly, not very attractive" and then I saw "Pokerface" and I took it all back and apologize to everyone for my hasty judgment. She's a chameleon, she's brilliant because she is presenting herself in all these different ways. She's not afraid to be less than glamorous. And by not being perfect, she is perfect. It's okay to have frumpy days, and still be beautiful.
From the Lady Gaga article in Current Biography: "Lady Gaga--whose strong nose and prominent front teeth do not fit current conventions of beauty--has insisted that she is not trying to be a sex symbol." As far as I'm concerned the conventions do not fit my broader ideas of beauty. Gaga can be very attractive in a physical sense when she wants to be. In her attitude and the way she carries herself, in her intelligence, and creativity she is one of the most beautiful people in this world.
