Monsters, I just realized something. In the Little Mermaid, Ariel let's Ursula take HER VOICE and gives her A HUMAN BODY to be with the prince. But GAGA says to do what they want with her body and not have her voice, so it's kind of the opposite. My English teacher gave me a huge packet on Disney's underlying messages in movies, and for Ariel, it said she sacrificed her voice for a man and changed her own body for him. DWUW is different because GAGA keeps her mind and her voice, because men don't own her life. It is interesting how similar DWUW is to The Little Mermaid. I think Disney should have made the little mermaid so that she didn't sacrifice her voice for a man.
