My ARTPOP could mean anything.
My ARTPOP could mean anything.
Just wanted to let all you guys know how I'm feeling. In primary school, I locked myself away, I was so different from everyone else and was treated differently because of it, even at a young age. In secondary school, things were a little better until I turned 17. Long story short, I have always wanted to be an artist, and everything was going great until I started my 2 final years as an art student. I was bullied by my own teacher. She would rip up my work, call me a 'failure', put me down all the time. It probably doesn't sound so bad when you're reading this but at the time it completely broke my heart. By the end of it I did in fact fail my art exam and was rejected from art college due to 'lack of talent'. I'm not saying I'm the best artist in the world but I do try as hard as I can. I'm 21 now and still 4 years later it bothers me and knocks my confidence. I'm an only child and I really do want to make my parents proud, so when I failed the only thing I'm actually good at, it broke my heart. The day of my final exam was the day 'Born This Way' was released. I've even with gaga since 2008 but this was the album that truly saved and changed my life. Since then I've gone on to start my own illustration business and I've illustrated a few children's books, with more to come this year. Gaga did this for me, she gave me the confidence to not cry, move on and be successful. I'm still hoping I can tell gaga all of this and more if I ever meet her again and also show her some of the artwork I've done for her. Everyone on here is always so supportive when I upload art and I know I'm not the best artist in the world but the support means everything and more to me. I'll upload some art with this post also so any comments/likes are really appreciated :) xxxx.
