Need You More Than Dope

Day #2 of no weed for me, after 22 years of smoking it all day, every day. I feel clear and no longer afraid to be straight. DOPE is a powerful song for me, no one has ever written a song that expresses my struggle with this drug like Gaga has with DOPE. I have cried and cried listening to it. Thank you Mother Monster for your honesty, bravery and insanity expressed in such gorgeous ways. Yours sincerely, from a lil old aussie monster (I am 43) xxxxx PAWS UP!!!!

Hello, Peek Eye, thank you for sharing!! I also relate. I have recovered from several addictions. Weed was the hardest for me to quit and I was FLOORED when I heard Gaga say on a Sirius XM broadcast that she was addicted to it. (The video is on my profile.) I went through a lot of what she described but I have been totally sober for over 4 years. A lot of people can use drugs or drink and be fine! But I had to quit everything so I got help. Life is not perfect now but I am blessed. :-)

I just wanted to say hello and wish you well with the cannabis withdrawal. I smoked as much as I could daily for years and the withdrawal was pure hell, lasted weeks. Just don't give in if you still feel like hell weeks later, the withdrawal will pass! Please forgive my awkwardness, just wanted to let you know you I'm thinking of you!

i know . do not give up dope took some one a way from me year a go. it was mine .and now all i do is try 2 git that feeling of love/ hope /peace/ in my sole. so my spirit can love. she o d on my dope snd now i rome around like a lonely bear im a gypsy .looking 4 the little peaces of my heart mind/ body/soul

dope speaks to me on a deeper level as well. im also a pot head and have been smoking every day for the past 6 years. i can't seem to get over the pain and shame i've felt since i was a child. maybe some day ill stop like you but for right now I need weed to keep me okay. i really can't afford to go back to how i was in high school.

Congratulations darling! You can do this. Living high is cheating yourself of true feeling. I have been through it and I turned it all around. Now I'm a critical care nurse who is on her way to being a practitioner. Do what you love, what you are meant to do in this life. It's not a dress rehearsal. Feel it all and embrace it.
