This is a very powerful/emotional moment. In my opinion the very best of the whole video.( And the later angry expression). They intentionally placed this part during ''i try to sell my self but i'm laughing. i love the music not the bling.'' Lady Gaga's art doesn't look nice. She doesn't want to be a sex symbol or be admired for her beauty. She is the vehicle for the things she wants to express but she want to represent them in a unique way. And she does. But what all the other artist do is try to become more and more popular with plastic surgery and self-centered shows that only fulfill their vanity. And the masses follow them dazzled by the cheap entertainment they offer. She ends up hating herself (angry/crying) cause she knows she will never be on top unless this changes.
