In the last week, I had a few friends get beat up in the streets and subway of Montreal, Canada, for the simple reason that they are gay. I can not believe that at the edge of 2014 these things still happen because close minded people just can't seem to open their minds to respect, love and acceptance!!! I am myself a female lesbian drag queen and I just can't stand to see my friends suffer because of their sexual identity. On saturday morning, My drag sister got attack and violently beaten in the metro of mtl. When I saw a picture of his bruised and bloody face, my heart just broke into a million pieces!!!. As the two men were hitting him; fracturing his jaw and breaking his ribs, they kept yelling that "HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF BEING WHO HE IS AND THAT THE DEVIL WOULD COME GET HIS FAGS ASS ANDTHAT HE WAS JUST A DISGUSTING FAGGOT" The police was contacted and they never showed up until really later when my friend desperately dragged himself home crying and hurt. Since saturday, 2 other of my friends went through similar traumatic violent events. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE NOW!!! I want to be an effective change but I just can't seem to know where to start since this subject needs a lot of work done. We need to get this to lady gaga as I believe that she is powerful enough (and so are we) to get this message out there and put an end to all that violence!!! I am sick and tired of this nonsense and we all deserve respect and acceptance. I want my children to live in a world where loving a boy or a girl is not a problem!! (I had posted an other similar message but decided to deleat it because of the very graphic picture and by respect for my dear friend) so to everyone that has liked to previous message I wrote, please like this one cause we need to change things NOW!!!
