"Pop culture was in art now, art's in pop culture, in me." Music has served as a form of escapism for many, and has also given us such icons as Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson. With this thought in mind, I decided to make my Halloween costume this year into a conceptual piece. Everyone on this site has obviously felt as though Gaga is part of them, here, we see that she has become part of me. Such legends as Gaga and Michael Jackson have inspired me in ways I cannot even begin to explain, and are the reason I continue to create such things as this. Two legends in pop culture, attached to the masses (me) forming a hybrid that is able to withstand anything. (QUICK NOTE: YES, I MADE THIS WHOLE COSTUME. I BOUGHT THE THRILLER JACKET, PAINTED HALF OF IT TO LOOK LIKE GAGA'S SKIN COLOR AND THEN GLUED THE BLACK LACE TO IT. I ALSO MADE THE HEADS OUT OF STYROFOAM MANNEQUIN FIGURES THAT I PAPER MACHED AND PAINTED TO LOOK LIKE THEIR LIKENESSES + ADDED THE WIGS WHICH I CUT AND COLORED MYSELF LOL OK YEAH BYE) #Gagaween
