Dear Mother Monster, I am a third and final year university student study Contemporary Performance. I'm working on a performance at the moment that my company and I could really use your help on. We would love for you to come to our University and run some workshop based lectures with us. Our performance is based on iconic art. Usually we like to transport our audiences into another world as we believe "the stage is a tangible physical place"(Artaud) where anything can happen. We are also intrigued by simply encouraging the spectators to be aware of themselves and how they perceive us representing the art. We talk about the works of yourself and Marina Abramovic and others on a day to day bases. I know it seems like a bunch of fans wanting to meet their idol but in fact we are artists ourselves reaching out to someone we feel is inspirational.
