Double standards. On the other hand, most people criticizing Miley and not Gaga, Madonna, Rihanna..etc. is because those people have known the artists I mentioned as mature, sexually-provocative and controversial artists while Miley got famous for being a star for children. Some cannot accept that she's a woman now and others think it's wrong that their kids might go and look up their favorite Hannah Montana star and find these videos and start imitating her.

I Love S&M, because I though it was criticizing how the "media" approach pop stars, or the critiques making rumors about pop stars. At the same time a fraction of the society believes pop star takes pleasure from this type of negative attention, but obviously they don't. I prefer the director's cut version for Wrecking Ball, that's just my preference. Also there's perception, most people still see Miley as Hannah.
