I will lie until they accept the truth

About a year ago, I tried to come out to my parents. I say tried, because it did not go well at all. They totally disagreed and fought everything I said, and refused to give me a right to my own opinion. But I am still strong. I am still brave. It is hard going through each day knowing that if it ever comes up, I would be in big trouble. But I don't care. I the most amazing boyfriend in the world, and for him, getting in trouble would be worth it. My parents think I'm "changed" . But I'm not, and I never could be. So I will lie until they accept the truth!

I'm sorry that things went the way they did but here's this, you don't need to consider yourself in the closet nor hiding. It's just a matter related to you. Nobody needs to know until they ask you. I think straight people don't say they're straight unless they're confronted with the contrary or their straight-interests are noticed. Same thing for gay and bi people. I think it's never about hiding, it's about personal stuff being personal. Nobody really goes out and says "I LOVE BURGER" unless they're asked about their favorite food, I guess...

Don't worry. Do it when it's convenient for you. A lot of people I know waited years until the right time came...some people I know tried to rush it and things went bad (at least at first, because parents eventually come to their senses). But coming out is great...not having to hide who you are is beyond what words can describe.

You look old enough to be out on your own, you're beautiful; I think holding out for someone's opinion will hinder a lot in your life, trust me. Know your worth and remind them everyday how you was born. Disowning someone because they're gay is like disowning someone because of physical challenges.
