After 8 years of being together, I and my now husband have finally tied the knot! My family also finally accepted my homosexuality and joined our little celebration of our union. Unfortunately, I start treatment for my newly diagnosed cancer (lymphoma) tomorrow and the treatment will last a year. No matter how dark the year ahead for me seems, I will always have this very bright memory of my being married to my husband and my family finally embracing our love to take with me as I go through a number of scary medical treatments. I will also have a spark of light always beside me that is my husband =). #samelove #truelove #love #courage
