We all know that The Fame & The Fame Monster were Yin and Yang to each other, I wonder if it's the same idea for Born This Way & ARTPOP? I understand that the two albums focus on two totally different concepts, but Gaga has said in recent interviews that the dark emotions she was going through during Born This Way Era reflected into the music, hence the dark imagery, and that ARTPOP Era's aesthetic is bright and colorful because she's at a happy time in her life.
