I love the lyrics to this song. I like Miley, in all of her incarnations. I support her attempt to find herself sexually, and I truly believe that being a Disney "good girl" for so long is repressive. These girls (Miley, Britney, Lindsey) tend to over compensate when they do break free of that forced stereotype. I am afraid that the aggressively sexual nature of the video detracts from the powerful and vulnerable message of the song itself. I felt that way about the last video, too. There was a complete disconnect between the emotions I had when I heard the song, and the emotions I had when I saw the video

Well this is totally different from her VMAs performance by far. This is actually an extremely emotional, vulnerable showing of her self. It's kinda brilliant, actually: she is vulnerable, but she's literally riding the wrecking ball and the sledgehammer. WE CAN'T STOP secretly loving that which gives us pain, but we are tortured into misery by it.

My opinion of her goes up and down, I've didnt really like her before 'We Cant Stop', then the VMA's happened and I really didnt like her, but this is beautiful. The song is amazing! I really really love it, I think some of the video is a OTT, but the song is too perfect to make me dislike it! The video matches the songs in a strange kind of way... YAYY MILEY!! <3
