I think most people dress how they feel or in many cases want to feel. And often it's because we do want to feel attractive and garner the attention of someone else. Women and men BOTH do it. It's not commented on about guys a lot, but guys dress up in certain ways, do things with their hair to be noticed by women (or other men, you know depending what you like) I'm not saying we don't dress for ourselves, because obviously we do, but often people do want to be noticed. We want to feel wanted. Natural human instinct.

Sorry, but it's not exactly true. In Europe or US a woman can dress the way she wants it, she can wear whatever she like. But in some muslim countries, women have no other choice but to cover the whole body because men wants it. This is the real male-dominated culture, not the west.
