How to Meet Gaga
How to Meet Gaga
I am so saddened at the hypocrisy of the site...You all say how you're not jealous of some fans having been lucky enough to meet Gaga numerous times, but the truth is you are so I am going to share with you how it is you too can have a chance to meet Gaga or any Pop Star....These tips work everywhere, US, Europe etc.
First, when a pop star is touring, the number one rule is they stay at the closest yet nicest hotel to the venue in which they are playing...the crew that drives the equipment and set the stage, (e.g.) lights, instruments, wardrobe, merchandice etc.) always get to the venue the same day as the show really early in the morning as load in call is usually around 7 to start unloading the gear and equipment or sometimes they may arrive a day or two before...look for Semi Trucks not labeled except for on the cab..(e.g. UpStaging Lights and Sound, Night Rider)..they are crew members and drivers that get everything needed for the show to the venue and get it set up and ready for the stars...make friends with them..be polite, bring water or whatever...sometimes they will tell you when a fave will be at venue for rehearsal, as usually stars don't travel with the crew...You can also look for the tour buses..they aren't too far from where the trucks are. Get there early, don't pester or be demanding especially if they are busy..sometimes they will give out tickets and passes...rare, but it does happen. Try your best to not ask for tickets, passes or to meet your fav...crew gets hit on for this stuff everyday at every gig..folks like to feel special and important just for being them and not for who they work for.Take an interest in what they do on tour and learn from them..you'd be surprise about what you may learn. I give out tickets and passes to kids that are sweet and don't outright ask or demand.
Visit the hotel: Always, always. always be polite and nice to the hotel staff and to everyone there..you never know who may have a contact or a ticket that would be willing to help you...again, make friends with anyone that has a "laminate" hanging around their neck...that shows they are crew...Again, follow the above tips plus this...If your fav is eating with their S.O. leave them alone until their meals are finished. No one like to be interrupted while eating.
Stars usually show up the day before or day of performance so patience is key.
They usually arrive at venue for sound check and rehearsal around 4 or 5 pm...not good to grab them as they go in, so wait til after rehearsal/sound check...they generally run about 2 hours.
Have your cameras and pen and paper ready so as not to hold them up.
On Social Networks, it is by far better to be polite and ask them to "follow you" Don't demand, scream in all caps or whatever...that only gets you ignored. Ask them nice questions or give a compliment...they deal with enough demands and bs from media etc. so imagine how nice it would be if a tweet saying "Just thinking of you" or "Hope you are well" will go over much better than a demand for something.
Finally...don't bitch if your turn doesn't come right away or if someone else gets multiple opportunities...they just know how and when to be at the best place at the right time. Hating on someone or being rude and spiteful because they learned what works only makes you look like a tool....make friends with those folks and be genuine. Honey always get the flys versus vinegar.
Always be polite , nice and not demanding or rude. Be good to yourselves and others and always follow your dreams and never give up!
Please share this post with other Monsters so maybe it can ease their hearts and tears,,,,,Thank you and Good luck!
