Okay so I would like to share my theory's of the Applause music video. Okay so for the first one, we see gaga dragging this big useless leg around, this made me think of her hip and her inability to walk, when she lifts the leg over her head she overcoming the broken him and she's still moving forward. 2: Gaga appears to be in a cage made out of bones I saw this as another reference to her injury, in a way her injury kind of trapped her and disallowed her to do shows and perform, the broken hip shut her out from the world like a cage 3: We see gaga as a black swan, a black swan is offline associated with an unexpected event, I saw this as gaga saying she never expected to be this big, she never expected to be such a huge star 4: and finally the hands wrapped around gaga. I think that this could represent the critics and media trying to discourage gaga and hold her back and pull her down but she keeps dancing no matter what showing, also the part with the knives could be associated with critics throwing insults and attempts to bring her down but they keep missing.
