what i got was that an artist lives for applause there is stef on that bed dreaming . And in the dream she is the artist . the artist here compared to a blank canvas who is easily inseparable from the black background. there is the scene where she comes out of a hat with a bunny tail . this shows that artist is the bunny who comes out of hat cuz ppl want to see it and only when magician pulls her out. she is wat we want her to be. She is art who finally becomes her true self and potray's what she wants........

Para mi varias facetas de personas que buscan reconocimiento y aplausos... La del cuchilla(la que le lanzan los cuchillos en el circo), dale de un sobrero(mago), el cisne(descubrimientos cientificos), el payaso, la modelo, el diseñador de modas, la bailarina y el pintor(representado en que ella está desnuda con las conchas..) Todos quieren que los aplaudan!!

I think the part before the last chorus where she's on the ground seizing kind of represents the frustration she felt when she had to take time away, almost like throwing a tantrum

I think each transformation is just a representation of icons to applause for such as the magican (gaga in the hat), the circus freak (gaga in the cadge) the jester (gaga in clown makeup), the ballerina (gaga as swan) herself (stefani, gaga on mattress) the religious symbol (gaga with bouquet) and lastly the Model/performer (gaga walking down the runway)
