Just in case any of you don't know who Marina Abramović is: She's a Performance Artist who began her career in the early 1970s and describes herself as the "grandmother of performance art." Her work explores the relationship between performer and audience, the limits of the body, and the possibilities of the mind. Gaga said ARTPOP would be about POSSIBILLITIES when I met her Backstage, that's exactly what Marina's work is about. In addition to that she said ARTPOP is about giving meaning to that which already exists. Marina Abramović might be Gaga's biggest inspiration for this era. A few months ago she already stated out that ARTPOP is "when POP sucks the tits of ART", which could mean that her (the POP) is sucking the tits, as in getting inspiration, of Marina (the ART). This might also be the idea behind the upcoming Album Cover for ARTPOP or any other visual parts of the Booklet. For example: Two Gaga's one sucking the breast, the other one breast feeding the one who's sucking. Another version of this would be her breast feeding Jo, since he's most likely going to have a Comeback during this era. In addition to that, the new Promotional Photo seems to share the same concept. It's like she is breast feeding that arm. An arm which is able to create ART like the paintings of Helen Green or hold a microphone + sing great POP records. Also they both have the same facial expression!
