I officially finished my Masters in Women’s and Gender Studies today!! I’ve spent the last two years completing coursework in order to study feminist theory and methodology, and writing a thesis about Lady Gaga and identity activism online. I’m finally finished!! They read my name wrong, but Carleton’s chancellor told me he “also had purple hair once, back in the young days” and I took the opportunity on stage to put my paws up and show my teeth like a good little monster. All in all, it feels damn good to be done! Now to get my thesis to the woman herself….
