ONE YEAR SINCE I MET GAGA.
ONE YEAR SINCE I MET GAGA.
This time last year was one of, probably -the- most happiest days of my entire life. After four years of trying, camping, doubting, failing, tears and stress I finally met Lady Gaga. I camped out for 3 days with Ida, Beau & Jamila for the monster pit key for the first Sydney BTWBall, those 3 days were freezing as it was mid-winter, those 3 days were exhausting and very, very stressful, but the result of those 3 days completed me. When I found out that we were going backstage as our friend Beau was the key holder, I broke down, cried, screamed, smiled and laughed, I was on the floor because I couldn't stand, the news i had just received was too much.
Backstage with Gaga was beyond amazing. I got to share my dream that was coming true with Ida. The hugs Gaga gave to us was a hug that I had never ever felt, she held me so tight, the way she looked at me was as if she was trying to figure me out, the way she laughed at me because I couldn't speak and the way she bought herself down to our level, a human level just to make us feel like she was our friend and not superior to us. She came over to me and said "Hi sweetie! whats your name?" and I was in complete shock and couldn't speak, I eventually got it out and spelt it to her 3 times and she still managed to get it wrong :'), I said "you spelt my name wrong" really quietly and she was like "do you want me to fix it" and went to grab the ticket, but I told her "no no no it's okay gaga wrote it it's perfect" so I probably looked like the biggest idiot, but its okay because she laughed..
I got 3 hugs from her backstage, my last moment with her was so perfect, she said bye to us all, and as she was walking away I finally said "Gaga, I love you so much" and she turned around, gave me a long, tight, warm hug and as she let me go she whispered "I love you too".. my hand also got caught in her hair backstage which was funny (i snatched her weave.. LITERALLY HAHAH)
Gaga is not just a pop star, she is a life saver, a dream maker and an icon. I went to 5 Born This Way Balls, and those 2 weeks were some of the best days of my life. I made so many new friends and we built so many memories.
I love her so much, and I will always have a spot for her in my heart.
One year today, my biggest dream came true, I met Lady Gaga... AND SHE WAS FUCKING TEAL.
(the ticket says -- Maryann(e) I <3 You Lady Gaga)
