Some very valid points made by most of you. I realize the dislike button has become useful ever since all the offensive, hateful and overly provocative posts have been popping up on here. Though at first I thought It (dislike button) might encourage strong negativity over positive influence when it was first introduced, but you (monsters) have proven to me that the majority of you use it for the greater good of the fan base. In my defense, many people tend to get to the negative posts before I do, (disliking, reporting) thus making me less aware of the high extent of how haters use this site to bash Gaga, Little Monsters, site users and other musicians/artists. Don't get me wrong, I have seen the bullying and negativity some users are pushing, who hasn't? In the past, I've chosen to ignore them, or point out their wrongdoings on occasion when it's crossed a line, but never really clicking "dislike' on them. This site used to be monsters only, but of course that type of segregation had to be scrapped once Lady Gaga's fame has risen higher and higher. If you've got two feet and a heartbeat, you can join, regardless of your level of "little monstrosity" so to speak. It would be nice if Backplane had some sort of filtration system for pornography, fake accounts and hatred prior to allowing an image be posted, but that would be inefficient and waste everyone's time, especially the backplane's time. I do realize that the high volume of posts, likes, comments and topics can't be filtered out efficiently, and they can't make everybody happy. littlemonsters.com is now very popular and open to the public and we can't censor the negativity pouring in, we can only share our opinions now. Overall, thanks for answering my burning question and changing my mind about clicking "dislike". I just hope the dislike button doesn't become a blatant tool for bullying and hatred. Now I'm gonna go dislike some shit that doesn't belong on little monsters, for valid and positive reasons, no hate. And like always, Paws up !
