I will post all my faves, there are enough Gaga pictures on this website, I really dont have to upload the same picture of Gaga the hundreth time to get some likes.
My sister got born in 1972, she went through the whole Madonna phase and is still a huge fan so I got lots of books to browse when I was younger and I know alot about her even though I do not like her very much. Big career, yes. She did alot for the women and their image then, rather liberating then in a fashion sense and she did stand up for gay rights and other political hot-topics back then. I do feel she got lost somewhere around "Ray of Light". I simply never liked her general attitude that she is displaying and it's getting worse. Be it fame or managment telling her to act that way. I do not know. I just do not like the attitude.
Well. The things is that for most parts you have to be very blunt here. People can not read between the lines. If you write "Madonna took inspiration from Marilyn's Gentlemen prefer blondes..." people don't bother to read on and flamewar starts. You've seen it yourself. --> "AMMAGAWD this is LM.COM how could you!!!" I personally don't believe in the term copycat. It's sickening. There is no artist in the world (dead or alive) that did not take inspiration from someone or something else. And the very first artists (cavemen) took inspiration from animals, nature.. etc. Try to tell that to someone here and you get verbally abused. Sadly.
