Do you guys not realize that Aung San Suu Kyi was illegally kept under house arrest from 1989-2010 as she fought a dangerous and oppressive government so that her people could have a democracy. She spend 21 years away from her sons. She was not allowed to see her husband when he died of prostate cancer. And she spent this entire time living in a home with no roof or power, completely alone just for her people.
