Well seeing that Gaga has claimed her approach to music is influenced by Warhol and the Factory (which, with the Bauhaus, has created her Haus) her work is not only supposed to be musical perfection but aesthetically pleasing too. Also, seeing that it is titled ARTPOP this would suggest that popular art, which is visual, plays an essential role in the musical concept. It's more than music with Gaga.
