Guess it had been close to being finished before her injury. But the ongoing hardship she has been enduring over the last months probably had a strong influence on her art and creativity. So by now, her vision of ARTPOP has definitely changed and she probably scrapped most of the "old" album and started over again. Now channeling that new artistic power into new songs and a new vision of the album. So it'll probably still take some time until it's done but it'll be better than it would have ever been.

Theres a rumor the gaga will release her firat song from ARTPOP -Burqa on 17th May

when someone works on an album they dont start working on it when they release the album name. she has been working on it for probably 1 or 2 years prior to release so the songs could be all ready and she could be on 90% but just has to get the promo shit ready and dates right and crap like that soooooooooooo yehhhhhhh....
