There's a regular meme around here of posts that say "Never stop smiling" (sometimes with a pic of Gaga). I'm sure the people who post these things mean well, but I have to say, instead: Stop smiling, if you want to. Smile if you feel like smiling, but don't, if you don't. Don't let other people tell you how to feel, or what expression to wear, and don't let anybody make you feel bad for not feeling better. Your face is your own. You're not here as decoration for others, and you're not here to cheer them up. Unless you want to.
