I wouldn't call it STEALING...in fact I would call it TO BE INSPIRED by someone with talent...otherwise you could call gaga also a thief...because she was inspired by madona ;) but you are right, at least if they "steal" it they have to say who made the orginal one ^^

Maybe they didn't mean to steal but took the original awesome pic and gagafy it in order to do an ARTPOP inspired image. There's no signature in the "fake" one, so maybe the intention was not to get credit for the work

I don't believe that the person who took the photo and put Gaga's face on it was really trying to claim the artwork as theirs, I think they were just making a parody of it to represent her. It's just the same as the people who take the Mona Lisa and put Gaga's face on it or take Amy Winehouse and put Gaga's face on her.

It's just fan art from what's already made. I actually had a class on this where I'm pretty sure they were saying how if you'd change it or try to copy it in your way it was alright, I mean it is edited, there's nothing fake about it, it's someone else's alteration from what's already done.. They are being creative with what's already done, it's not their fault if maybe the "real" art wasn't as seen etc. or if people don't know where the original idea comes from. Sign your name on all your art, or fix it up so people can't take it if you get offended by it. At the same time it should almost be a compliment if they liked it so much they tried to change it in their way to make it into a better version that they might enjoy more.

Stealing is just WRONG. If you contact the original creator, get inspired by them, or quote them in your art is a totally different thing... It's what pop art is all about actually, you think Warhol designed the Campbell Soup can? Hell no!, he was quoting it to make a statement, and that is art. So you can take references from different artists to do your own work, just don't copy and paste because that is disrespectful to everyone

Let's say that this is just creativity it's not stealing, though it looks like...some monster might thought that it looked good and did it without thinking that it was wrong or stealing, let's not do it again but still it was not created to be shit
