The Electric Chapel

The painting that took me one year to finish. I'm not trying to be controversial. Its just that Every pieces in this painting depicts a woman whose strength can be measured and interpreted in various ways and aspects. The woman who thought us that through things, Divine and human, no matter how we may appear, no matter how we try to glamorize or defame our own selves, we will still shine.

The Gaga with the black outfit from CFDA shows our passion to strive for fashion. The Gaga with the McQueen outfit celebrates beauty and grace. Jo Calderone here represents our opposite vision. The Bad Romance Gaga is all about people, though covered in crystals will never be blind and will always see through everything. The Cannabis Queen represents beauty even in times of despair, the strength that will never die even if people tries to destroy it (sort of like she is a representation of 'Princess Die'). The Gaga with the tub hair represents compassion even if you are toned down, you are still beautiful, you are still the person you are you show mercy. She represents us human. And finally the Judas figure in this painting, the BTW Ball Gaga represent strange vision and grace.

Thank you for all the feedbacks. It took me one year to finish it because this painting went under a lot of revisions, and there are elements in it that left me uninspired so I revised those. Each Gaga figure here represents her mark in our society, the central figure represents her glorification of the things Divine. Yuyi represents that you can be beautiful no matter what you are. Telephone Gaga is all about being strong even in times of persecution. The Fame Gaga with the origami dress shows how in every humble beginning, there is light and there is beauty. Alejandro Gaga represents faithfulness to the things that you believe in. Born This Way Gaga is all about re-birth and being proud of who you are even if you are not what the norms expect you to be.
