While touring in South America she spent her entire thanksgiving day helping out at a centre for sexually abused girls. When she returned home to have dinner with family and friends she probably thought that was it for her good deeds for the day. How wrong she was. Waking up in the middle of the night, naked and hungry, she pottered into the kitchen looking for a midnight snack. When looking at one of the security cameras she noticed that there were 35 little monsters (Gaga fans) hiding out in her basement. Crazy! Rather than chucking them out though, she invited them in and fed them. In 2011 her and the Haus of GaGa designed bracelets , that the proceeds of which went to all the needy victims of the 2011 tsunami in Japan Last year she and her mother Cynthia established a group called the Born This Way Foundation , to inspire youths to be themselves and they are never alone. Gaga partnered with Virgin Mobile on her Monster Ball national tour offering premium VIP tickets to fans who volunteer their time to homeless youth organizations, which raised more than $80,000 in proceeds to support homeless youth, and generated 30,000 hours of community service for hundreds of charities across the country. SOME Of the charities she religiously supports are the Alzeimers Association , Foundation for AIDS research , It Gets Better Foundation , the Lupus Foundation , MAC AIDS Fund , Oxfam , Stand Up To Cancer. She recently set up a Born This Way bus a mobile system of support for those who are in the most need of it. Lady GaGa is one of the biggest most important gay icons alive today and has inspired the hearts of many Gay , Straight , Bisexual , Lesbians and Transgenders AND ON a personal note if it were not for Lady GaGa im gonna be blunt i wouldnt have come out as gay , and i wouldnt be as happy as i am now with my boyfriend , i might add that if it wasnt for GaGa Im gonna be absolutely blunt in saying id be dead , and thats a fact , the reason i actually have some confidence in myself and not afraid to socialize to be who I am and to be as kind as i can to people , because of GaGa now i CANNOT stand bullying and im completely anti-bully . THe reason i can go down the street in clothes that I like and i think look good is Lady Gaga , it makes me think and countless others that if Lady GaGa can wear MEAT and whatever else shes willing to wear i can wear this and be as proud as Lady Gaga and be happy!!
