What Azealia said was hardly even close to being rude or mean, and while I do disagree to a degree with the use of the word, she should be given some slack. She has identified with the queer community and knows better than anyone the stigma attached and has apologized. But she also made it clear that it's not the only word used to bring someone down that enjoys a wide acceptance in culture, so instead of focusing on her one indiscretion, we should be coming together to fight it everywhere we see it, not just because Perez managed to scream wolf loud enough.
