My Body Revolution/Faces of Anorexia

This is me in the hospital due to the fact that I am 5'10" and I weighed 98 pounds. You will notice that my face is very swollen and that my eyes are almost black on both sides from malnutrition. If you need help, please ask me anything.

oh I'm speechless katte. Uh I've got troubles eating too. guess everybody has sometimes. I miss you I wish I was there with you:( as here I just feel like shit. I had such a painfull week I need to get out of this place. <3 LY

I have an eating disorder... or more like 2.. i am bulimic anorexic. I go through periods of binging and purging and periods of not eating or eating next to nothing. Though in the past few years i've decided that i wanted to start eating healthy. I gained over 100lbs. I feel really self conscious .... but it's better than being dead..

To preface this, I had massive amounts of water weight gain during this particular hospital stay because my kidneys nearly shut down, causing the rotund apperance of my face and the yellow/black pigmentation under the eyes. As for the feeding tube, they had to advance it PAST my stomach to begin putting "food" in a digestible way. It honestly began innocently enough, i did not set out to do this to myself. I have Crohns disease, and eating became hard, so I began to ignore it altogether. The problem is, once you set the pattern, it is just as hard to break as quitting smoking can be. Anorexia is two diseases at once. One of the mind, the other gastrointestinal and can shut down essential bodily functions. Please, contact me if you need help.
