The topic of this rant was brought to my attention by my lovely boyfriend. Many of the people who are opposed to homosexuality, be it portions of the church, radical conservative groups or "One Million Moms" claim that mere exposure to homosexuality through any medium (music, television, movies, knowing someone gay) can in fact TURN your child into a homosexual. Well if this is true why are there even any homosexuals to begin with? Every Disney movie and childhood story book is centered around heterosexuality. Even today 98% of what we see and hear about love or sexual encounters on television is about HETEROSEXUALS. With the sheer amount of heteronormative BS we're fed since the very second we're born, if exposure to a sexual orientation that is different to your own could in fact change your sexual orientation, then there would be little to no room for anyone to be gay.
