Sometimes I feel that a lot of people here on the site are invisible...

From the title you probably think I have gone insane lol but I will explain. When you open littlemonsters.com you will see the "HOT" posts page for the media, this is OVERRUN by the same few people EVERYDAY, its not like its just one post either there can easily be 5+ photos at the top from them. i spend most of my time on the "new" section instead now because there are good posts there (maybe a photo the individual had took at the born this way ball) or maybe a piece of artwork they had done. These posts in the new section constantly slip under the radar and never get any likes or any coverage on the "hot" section. It seems this site is/ has become a site of who has the most followers that will like my post, everyone who has hardly any followers doesnt stand too much of a chance these days. Sorry for ranting but its a little annoying to see the same people posting pictures they probably just found on google compared to ORIGINAL posts that don't get any views or likes. Just me who thinks this???

It is not about what u posted, it is about who posted . Really sad to see a re-post of your that has more thumbs up, just because the that person has more followers :(((

You're completely right! It's like only the "popular monsters" get their stuff on the hot page cuz they have the most likes since they have the most followers. It's fucking annoying! There shouldn't even be a hot page in my opinion. I thought all little monsters were supposed to be equal and now it's like some just want to be the popular ones with the most twitter followers, likes, etc

I'm outta here. I'm sick of this site tbh. Yeah, the art's nice and stuff. But it's all on Tumblr, there is no such thing as originality on here. There is like absolutely no original posts on here. I've seen it all before on every other social network. Don't even get me started on the community. They're possibly the most stuck up bunch of people I've ever had the displeasure of seeing. Don't get me wrong, though, I have met some really nice people. But that's it. It's the people on here that ruin it. I call myself a Gaga stan, but I have enough sense to know that Gaga isn't the be all and end all to life, she didn't create fashion or hairstyles, yet every bitch on here goes and complains that every artist under the sun has copied Gaga. Like I said, there's nothing on this site that I can't see on Tumblr first. This site has become obsolete and as generic as every other social network, and it's inhabitants are it's downfall.

I think the site should default to 'new' posts rather than 'hot' posts when you click on media or discussions :)

I find it a little sad that people care more about blowing up on someone over the use of the word gay than someone trying to make a stand and doing something for charity for their community that may very well get himself killed. JUST SAYIN

I throughly agree! To be honest, I"d rather go about my business while posting ( I don"t like to attention seek or come across as "cocky". If I get a great amount of recognition, then I consider myself very fortunate! The amount of amazing literature and artwork that lies beneath the foundations of the website is phenomenal, and unfair frankly! That"s the weird outcome of life, at times! If you look at it from this perspective! ( If you can enlighten one person"s day for those few minutes that they glance at your art, shouldn"t that be all that matters?)No doubt Gaga appreciates every post, but realistically she can"t view everyone"s post! Keep on Posting+spreading a positive message! x

I like going to the. new section too. A lot of the really creative stuff never surfaces. And we do see the same 5 people posts in hot. Would like them to change the algorithms so more and different works surface to everyone's attention.

I think their should be a forum instead of this format where only the hot discussions get noticed. But I think the media section is fine how it is.

I feel you Chris. Everyone should be recognised for what they do. For those who are posting original posts, it's just a matter of working harder each time. In time, you'll be noticed. Sometimes, it's good to be an underdog. :]

I Totally agree with you on speaking about this!!!!!!!! It happens to me like every time!!!! When i post i picture of gaga,,i just get 14,,,15,,,,,say 20 likes max!!!!! But the same pic posted by well known monsters get 500+ likes!!! I'm not jealous of anybody as such!!! (JUST SAYING) The real Creativity + Hardwork is in the new section. Monsters put so much effort+ time and they get only a handful of likes which is too bad,i feel!!! :'(
