BODY REVOLUTION: MENTAL ILLNESS...

I think the body revolution should not only be physical but also mental, i suffer from bipolar, and have been in such horrible low moments, I've been in hospital from trying to kill myself but gaga makes me stronger, i got on stage with her at Manchester and she wiped away my tears and told me she loved me. I'll always have bipolar, its a mental illness i have to face and always have my bad moments, but i must learn that it also gives me such great things like creativity, some great artists had the same illness as me including Isabella Blow! <3 So PAWS UP to Bipolar and all other mental illness, CAUSE WE WERE BORN THIS WAY BABY!! Also, if anyone else suffers from bipolar/depression remember, the reason we get so sad, is because we have much bigger dreams than the norm <3

I have Scitzo-effective disorder which include scitzophrenia and bipolar symptoms, so I know how you feel. I think you have a great idea. Check out my posts on this page to hear my story when you can.

I made a comment somewhere very similar. I think it was on Gaga's post. I am Bipolar 11 and I am fully recovered from behaviours etc Anorexia, self harm, but I also agree this should be included so I am with you all the way on this <3

I was thinking about the same. my body does not suffer from anything but my ''head'' does. I suffer from social anxiety and phobias (sometimes of depression too), they don't let me live and breath freely. thank you for posting this. :)

Thanks for sharing this and please don't define yourself by your diagnosis. Most of us do get mood swings and sometimes doctors are quick to label a person as "Bipolar," which just irks me. I get manic sometimes too...I also get moody and unmotivated as well, but that's not to say I'm bipolar. Do u get my point?? You're awesome though and so blessed to have gotten on stage with Gaga. Congrats!

There is nothing wrong with being Bipolar. Don't let a label define you. I think most of us have some degree of it anyway. I love it when I can't "manic."

I also have bipolar mood disorder and it has affected my and others lives in so many ways... :-( But please keep your paws up, we need to stay strong together! ...'Cause We Were Born This Way!

I suffer from depression, thank you for that motto. I actually feel like it is so so true. Also I feel like so many singers, writers, artists must feel something like we do. I think that's where a lot of art comes from. You couldn't make something so beautiful if you didn't know what it was like to be so sad.

I think I have "mental illnesses" too, but I don't really see them as illnesses. People sometimes notice, or suspect, but I've never told anyone but my friends about it. Since I was very young I see and hear, and sometimes even feel (physically) things that no one else does. I can create a whole different scenario and see it there too. and sometimes I dream of things that happen days or months later. I don't know what I have, but I don't see it as a mental illness. I'd rather think of it as a blessing because it makes my life kind of interesting. So yeah... :)

Just try to surround yourself with the people and things that make you happy. I love that you were on stage with Gaga and she did that. I think I watched that video on youtube. That's a really nice experience and memory for you to have and cherish. I hope you always think of that or something amazing that's happened to you, the moment you start feeling low. You're lucky and being creative is a fucking amazing skill to have. Thank you for sharing your body revolution. <3 Paws up, bubs <3

I also suffer with bipolar. My favourite artists like Gaga give me the strength through music and their approach to life to carry on through the dark times.

This is so true!! My dad has bipolar and it's been very hard growing up with him so I know some of the struggles you probably face. I'm also being tested for bipolar. You have such a positive outlook on it though and you're so brave!!<3

Absolutely agree. I think the body revolution can be whatever applies to you. Gaga started this movement for self acceptance- mental and physical. Paws up!

hi darling I feel the same thing, I have a borderline personality disorder, and indeed body revolution should be mental too... On my page there is a vid that tells my life, I made it maybe you should make one too. Cause most monsters prefer seeing images than reading posts... But I feel the same way we are born this way and it will never go away, you will always be bipolar, I will always be a borderline, But we can learn to live with it and we can listen to each other and help :). I know sometimes it is hard to see but we are all beautiful, even if we don't always feel that way... I love you :) paws up
