This is why I am so against Gaga openly using drugs!!!

OK, I don't care if she does them in her private life or whatever, she is grown woman and can make her own decisions. However, she should realize that she has a moral obligation to try to be the best role model out there for all the younger kids who are her fans. She may not want to be a role model, but that happens when you are a pop star, parents are more likely to allow their child to listen to pop music over rock and roll music. And it is not just that, it is so offensive to those of us who are against drugs to have all this marijuana crap right in our faces as soon as we open up Littlemonsters.com. I just saw someone's discussion post about how they wanted to try some sort of drug and they were asking people's opinions on here. I really don't care if she's stoned out of her mind privately, I just wish it would stay private, otherwise she's just another bad influence and another disappointment. I know I'm probably gonna get a lot of crap for this post, but after I saw that one discussion I had to post this here....

I agree. I'm fine with her doing what she wants in her own privacy, heck, I wouldn't even say anything about her doing it in public (I do wish she wouldn't though, but it's not my place to say so) if it weren't for the fact that lots of younger kids look up to her and they tend to imitate people they look up to....

Well, my comments were deleted. Let me phrase it more gently this time: Gaga may be a public figure, but she has her own life. She can show whatever parts of her life she desires. Marijuana has legitimate, medicinal purposes (the supreme court in Canada decided so, as have other courts and governments around the world) and claiming she shouldn't because it's essentially "bad" is bigoted.

I DISAGREE. Gaga is a role model, but thats because we have made her one. She is an Artists. She is free. And if you are calling her a bad rolemodel because she smokes weed, then you better be calling EVERYONE who endorses alcohol as well, because alcohol is a drug too. And gaga is the greatest rolemodel ever. She is all about being who you are. And since gaga does smoke weed, she probably wants it legalized, which is maybe why she is trying to use is so freely. I understand that gaga has young fans, but you have to trust it to there parents to steer there kids in the right direction. Gaga is no ones ACTUAL mother. If she wants to smoke, she will. She will wear revealing clothing. She will sing about sex and love. She is always going to be pushing the limits. Dont fight it. She is a smart girl and she knows what she is doing.

i think i might be the one you're talking about with the whole drug opinion asking :S but i agree with you, i almost feel like i wouldnt be thinking about it if she didnt openly talk about her drug using and stuff. it kind of breaks my heart because it feels like she doesnt care too much when it comes to that, but i dunno. she probably does

very understandable in my opinion, and yes a role model is the life of the star. but it shouldn't define what is just. i believe this "exposure" of her leisure is not one of vain confrontation, but a comment on the likes if you will, of a society. i know plently of ppl out there who HATE drugs and the effects it has on this generation, yet you must think that peeople are people. if the drus are a bad influence on ppl, then it shoshould be the person alone to decide. not the general public or the media. no one puts that joint in anyones hand, parents are there fas guides, when did it become one persons job to fight for all things "right."

If Gaga wants to smoke weed occasionally I am fine with it even tho I hate weed but when everyone posts weed related things I feel like I am not cool because I have never smoked weed and never want to smoke weed. Its just a little awkward for me to see a lot of marijuana posts on here because I don't relate to them.

I don't like opening up LM.com to see drugs because I don't do drugs and people on this site have been trying to pressure me into doing them and I don't want to. I won't judge you if you do drugs, just don't pressure it on me! Please be polite when talking to someone who doesn't care for drugs! I don't think I'm better than you, or smarter, I just don't want to do them!!!

To those people whose comments are no longer on here I am sorry...I only deleted a couple of comments that seemed rude to me when I read them...any other ones, I don't know what could have happened. I am constantly having my comments disappear. The site is not set up perfectly and it has some glitches. I never meant for this to be a huge argument...people should not be attacked for their opinions on this site, but they always seem to be, it is getting ridiculous. I'm not saying I was "attacked" I'm just saying about other things. If your comment was that important to you, but is no longer here, you should repost it instead of attacking me for deleting it .
