I have a kidney disease that caused internal issues & extreme swelling. When the swelling was bad it was tough to leave my house. I focused on getting healthy & now I’m much better & back to being me! This is me b4 the disease, at its worst & now

I am so sorry for you that you had to go through something so painful as well physically than psychologically. You are very brave to went through all this, and you can be proud of yourself, it's hard to go through a fight such as this one. Congratulations to you!

my father had kidney disease as well, and it caused him to swell also. it ended up taking his life. i'm happy you made the decision to take better care of your health before it was too late.

I went through kidney failure once, due to anorexia. I would hope that you stay recovered, I know the nasty feeling that goes along with it, and the feeling wanting to die because eating hurts, touching this hurts food smells very strange and so forth. You are a fantastic example that Little Monsters should follow. God only knows we are only human, but its how we use our humanity that serves us well. FIGHT ON!

Dang, it's hitting you hard there. Don't like to prod in because you probably got enough tips as it is; but in case you missed the diet side and get some recurring symptoms, then here's the short form of unsolicited tips. (Mostly common-sense dietetics and some Ayurveda thrown in.) A diet with high calories and low protein can help the kidneys work better. Avoiding processed food, cheese and "thick stuff" will help your face keep less swollen and congested. Too much fruit (-juices) and sugary stuff helps mucus accumulate. If you get to cook yourself, then chili and (black) pepper (also ginger and turmeric) help clear the pipes and move the congestions along. Maybe check out some yogic breathing exercises and pressure points for more relief in case the problem returns and you run out of fix
