The stage was this high during the BTW ball in sweden too. Not that high up for monsters in the monsterpit but for us standing outside... It was awful. I've seen pix where the stage is just average human length so you can actually SEE SOMETHING!! I guess it varies from stadium to stadium but still!

Well it is high maybe because it's a stadium, in arenas o coliseums the stage is lower.
