Anyone get "bullied" for being a Gaga fan?

Hi monsters! I am a Gaga fan through and through, but I have to tell you, it doesn't matter what age you are, you can still get bullied. I show up at a family party wearing my new "free as my hair" Gaga tee and my brother-in-law starts telling me to get a new shirt. I told my mom today about my plans to go to the BTWB in an excited tone and SHE starts getting pissed, saying "that's all you talk about" and "you're obsessed." Meanwhile, I'm 31 years old and still allow myself to be emotionally affected by this! I can't see why people care if I like Gaga. It makes me happy to follow her career, listen to her music, and maybe go to her concert. WTF is wrong with people. Has anyone experienced this before?

Ha I love that you're 31 I'm 26 and my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy, even his 13 year old son makes fun of me. I just drink a few shots of Jameson, and start dancing and yelling out her lyrics. Fuck em.

Thanks. I've had the same experience. The Gaga haters literally come out of the woodwork. I am older to and it's like "how can you be so stupid". So stay proud little monster. The community is behind you. Paws up!

I am 30 years old and I stopped my bully yesterday. It feels so good. You can see in my profile what I did. About you: Stop giving them the power. They say you need to get a new shirt? Give them the P.A.W.! Of course you need a new shirt. Artpop is comming. Tell him to get you a new shirt. Just turn every negativity they throw at you back at them by either letting it not affect you or replying with positive things. We're part of a new generation. I got bullied due to other things but from the same people. You are not obsessed. You are compassionate and have someone to look up to. And that is what your mother subconciously seems to be angry at. You look up to someone else - not her. But seeing how she reacts to you loving someone who is just leading a good example I understand why you seek other role-models than her. Lots of love.

I dont really talk about Gaga to anyone because they really dont understand the whole Little monster thing. They dont know Gaga so well that I could talk about her so this place was amazing gift From Gaga. Me, you and all of us can obsess about her in here as much as we want! It doesn't matter how old you are little monster!

I feel you're pain! I have gaga as my phone background and whenever anyone uses my phone tto check the time i get a weird look like i did something wrong for liking her. idk what s wrong with people but..your definietly not the only one

I'm 31 and my family bullies me for liking Gaga so much. The only people in my family that dont bully me about Gaga are my Aunt in Las Vegas and Wendy my girlfriend of 4 years.

I know exactly what you mean, monster! But I don´t give a shit anymore what other people say... they even don´t want to listen what we have to say... what Gaga has to say... so I´m not gonna waste my time trying to explain them the art Gaga makes... pfff... At least my best friend and my boyfriend started to like Gaga very much and are also fans now =) Cause they really had the will to learn something new... not to judge and first see and listen before creating their own opinion... I guess people, who always say things like "Gaga sucks" and "you´re obsessed" blabla... are just too lazy to invest some time and create an opinion on facts... but they just repeat what other people say... that´s sad, but honestly.. stop worrying about it... see... there are so many little monsters like you! Don´t be upset about a few haters =) Love overweights hate... =) Greetings from Germany! And keep being brave :D

Me too :/ Last year , some stupid gothic girl at my school didn't stop bullying me for being a Little Monster ... Saying I'm gay etc. She just can't understand Perfection <3 ... Paws UP Aries ! :')

Yes, mant times. Your are old enough to like whoever you want to like. Is your Mom like this about other topics or just Gagaism? I would listen in my room or headphones. Please, just don't get too frustrated or angry that you make some inappropriate mistakes. A lot of older generation do not see Lady Gaga for the whole package, only what they perceive or deem inappropriate behaviors. They may base this on here say. Just be brave and cautious what you say to your Mom as it definately disturbs her. If possible, ask her to have an adult conversation about the dislikes, etc. to have some peace in your home environment.
