"Princess Die" and "Dead & Decaying"

I have to admit I'm a bit worried- the ARTPOP era seems to be quite dark and morbid? It seems to be all about suicide and the decay of the superstar- don't get me wrong, the songs are awesome written and composed- but it's a frightening theme somehow, isn't it? Somehow like Lana Del Rey's topics... What are your thoughts?

I think you got something wrong :) Gaga said herself that Princess Die does in NO WAY reflect the rest of the album, which is all about fun and love.

This Is a nice new direction her music is going, can't wait for gaga's new album. I'm sure mother monster will surprise me with new songs she never disappoints.

i'm so not here for gaga/lana comparisons. i don't think anything seems to be 'about' suicide/decay as they yet again are symbolic of greater themes, even in Princess Die the mood seems more to do with the aftermath of fame and fortune as now the star transcends this and is faced with the self beneath the persona. so although it can be read as 'about' suicide only quite literally, it clearly layered wih mulitple meaning. so honestly what is there to be worried about? that gaga can now take subject matter other than getting drunk in clubs to represent a deeper and more introspective perspective? I don't find the theme frightening at all, plus when has gaga not been writing about the decay of the superstar.

The new song isn't going to be on the album and Princess Die meaning is completely different from the album(if it's even on the album) the whole album is about be beautiful and just having a good time with the people you love!

Well she did say the upcoming album lacks maturity. I like that its dark and not cliche and neon.
