Highschool Formal, Monster needs help

So my highschool formal is coming up in november and I have no idea what I'm going to wear, no date who I want to go with and majority of the girls + boys there dislike me. I don't even want to go but I know I should. I'm really upset about it and don't know what to do. I could ask a chick friend to go with me but I don't even know if they want to go. There's such a big hype about having a formal date, and the dress and I just don't want to be apart of it. To top that off I have a legal essay due soon and I am REALLY dumb at school. I know I'm going to fail, this is my last year and everythings too hard. D'; I just want to run away this is horrible I don't know what to do anymore!

Thankyou all, you're right. After i read all your posts I just asked one of my good friends from school and she said yes. Fuck all the others, if they think i'm lesbian or anything well they can think what they want. I'm straight and I know that. Everyones making such a big deal out of it at my school. I don't really want to go but it's only a few hours, I'll be brave. Thankyou monsters for helping me and giving me advice. Love you all <3

Go with your friends and have fun. My bullies (sadly) go to those things too but just avoid the bullies and go with a friend who you like to spend time with

Well i'm in yr 12 and I didn't end up going to my formal for many reasons, I had to choose between going to formal or to see GAGA, obviously I chose GAGA :P I hate the pressure formal gives you, if I went I wouldn’t of had a date anyways, plus it just costs way too much. Just be yourself and make a decision that you are happy with.

First of all, I want to tell you whatever you do, don't runaway from your obstacles. Go to the formal, ask any friend close to you, even if you think they might reject you, you have to at least try. And about your essay, no one is dumb. believe me, sometimes i felt i was a failure in dumb in school, but once you set your mind to it, you really improve and do better, this always happened to me. I would get like an F 1st semester and the next semester i would fix it and go up to a B. You can do it!

You ought to do what you like.... if you don't really want to go to the formal then don't. Would you have a good time if you went? I didn't go to those things in high school because, although I wished I 'could' be happy to go, it would have been a social nightmare for me. My small group of friends didn't go either so I didn't really miss out. I say, make the choice that will be best for you girl.

Do what you please, no one should ever stop you from having a great life. I support you and I hope you find something and find some hope I am sure everything will be ok just look up to the sky and daydream of something good and believe in yourself.
