Do all little monsters or just people who likes Gaga have to be gay, lesbian, transgenered or bi?

I can't understand why all the people thinks that people who likes Gaga or loves her way of doing things, or just her way of thinking are supposed to be something or like something... Aren't we free? Don't we have the freedom of likes? I'm just so fed up with those stereotypes... My name's Marc, and I'm free to say that I like Gaga because of who she is, and nobody's gonna tell me who I'm goin' to bed with, or what kind of sex I like, I'm just a human, and in this case I'm heterosexual. I'm less Little Monster because of my sexual orientation? Gaga made me believe in who I'm, and nobody, including Little Monsters are gonna make me feel as a liar, 'cause I'm not. Believe in yourselves, Gaga is just a singer, and music is for everybody, I'm wrong? Sometimes I think that there's no only homophobia... there's also "heterophobia".

I have always had a strong sense of identity and constantly strive to develop myself personally. When I was younger I had a lot of trouble as I never fit in anywhere. As I grew up I learned to appreciate and nuture this individual streak within me. There are very few genuine role models out there. I look up to Lady Gaga because of who she is and the the work she is doing through her BTWFoundation. She is my kind of role model.

I am questioning and love Gaga. I think it is just horrible for people to be mean to gay people but its just as rude to be mean to straight people. We should not judge anyone based on their orientation

No being straight is good! there lots of monsters tha are straight! really! and if your a guy and like gaga just tell them that ur straight and love/adore women! that are sexy! lolif your a girl and straight and like gaga and they call u lesbian tell them that u arent and just love how her beutiful voce sounds! but gaga wants gays to have rights. plus theres alot of ppl that love the same sex and they never told no one. but gaga makes them feel free! thats why there are alot of bi/lesbian/gay monsters who came out , cuz gaga makes them feel free. and gaga doesnt say that u have to be lesbian gay or bi. she wants u to love what u love!♥ Really it doesnt matter what u are its about the music!

I believe that people are born this way. I don't have hang ups about a person's sexual orientation. I respect everyone for who they are unless they are harming someone or animal or starting fires, etc. I find myself quite alone except for my husband as many older (I hate the word old, it's so, well, old!) people just don't get Lady Gaga. They probably resist change. I'd hate for them to have to work at being more accepting! Ha! So I feel brave most everyday as I do my best to be and think for me. I do respect other opinions, unless it is harmful to others. I don't care what people think of me liking Lady Gaga. I could give some people a dozen reasons pro, and someone would give an insignificant no! Just contine to empower and inspire others. Be brave. Be the individual that you were born to be. At least, that's how I see it. Great discussion question maaccK. Take care, stay safe.

I can understand what you mean. I'm same age as Gaga and I'm straight. It's great that she's always talking to young kids and teens about being yourself and to be brave but it can get a little annoying sometimes since that message doesn't apply to me. But it is great that she can be a positive voice to those kids.

I've gotten that a couple of times. It's not just Gaga but I've heard people accuse other especially males fans of female popstars(which I find funny when you think about it) of being gay. One guy on Amazon reviewing X-tina's first cd said "if you like her and your male turn in your dude license" . It's kind of amusing when you think about it, if you're a guy and you like a female singer a very attractive one you're gay. Okay you go drool over all these male singers and rockers, that's very heterosexual. Lol. Online anyway it's just trolling so just ignore it. Like what you want and screw their opinions.

Oh come on. This is ridiculous. There's no such thing as heterophobia. Straight couples don't get straight-bashed for being unnatural. No straight person is bullied to suicide for their sexual orientation being weird. Guess what? Anyone who says you need to be gay to like Lady Gaga isn't being heterophobic, they're being homophobic. You really think it's about you being straight? No one's persecuting you because you're straight. Quit victimizing yourself to feel included, take your head out of your ass, and think about someone else for a change.

I'm straight and I love LG and LM. It does seem like they get more attention sometimes but i guess they desereve it cuz they were her first supporters. I think Gaga has also started to understand that its nott just the gays anymore.despite that, i think every era she tries to get a different base. first the gays then the insecure and now...well, we'll have to wait for the album to find out!

I totally agree! It would be very reductive to say that Gaga is just a gay icon while she's even more than that. Gaga's fanbase does not celebrate the gay pride only lol! :P

Omg that's crazy! So the straights are the ones who don't fit in. That's hilarious! I'm straight and I adore Lady Gaga and her music, I never thought about that before but u maybe right because most who are Little Monsters are gay etc. So we don't fit in, we are too normal looool. This is quite silly really if this is what people think.

And the problem is not that I don't support LGBT, 'cause I do, I believe in gay rights, and I have some friends who are homosexuals, but what makes me feel sad and angry is that kind of exclusivity that some lil' monsters have created around her.

Totally agree. I'm straight and i'm LM I love her so much. But i have to say that i never have problems for not being gay, lesbian, transgenered or bi. I'm a girl who loves boys, and that's it. No problem. People are differente and each people love different things, but WE WERE BORN THIS WAY. Everybody can be a LM. Love, peace, and paws up monsters!!! <3

to me it is the same as simple minded people thinking that if you hang around gay people then that makes you gay.....just stupid. so i guess to some people just because gaga is bi then all her monsters have to be gay or bi..people are just simple-minded. you are right music is for everyone...there isn't a law that says certain people have to listen to certain music or have certain interests...being free means being who you want and doing what you want.

I totally agree! I'm tired of so many people stereotyping Lady Gaga's fanbase as all lgbt just because Gaga is an activist or because unlike a lot of artists she has a large lgbt following..I'm straight and I love Gaga!
