Caught in a Bad Romance

When your relationship is struggling and you don't know what to do,should you hang on in there or throw it all away? They say anything worth having is worth fighting for. But What do you do when you're tired of fighting? I am tired of fighting a 3 year war. What do I need to do to make him love me again? Is it better to be forever alone or caught in a Bad Romance?

Personally, if he is only there just so he's not alone, and you're 100 precent positive, I'd let him go. He's not worth your time. Unless you still love him the same way. Then showing your love through the little things (I love U notes, baking him his favorite cake, etc.) can help bring it back together. However, I think that you are only in this relationship to BE in the relationship. He seems very much like a relationship addict. He can't stand being alone. However, his happiness as well as your happiness are the most important. He may be happy, but if you're not either, and have not been for 3 years without any progress, it's time to let go. He's going to feel horrible and hurt, but in the end it's going to work out for you and him. He can find another relationship quickly since the motivation of needing to be in one will drive him to find someone else, and you will be happier giving another man/woman your love. This 'new' person will then be able to love you back, and you will feel a lot more relieved emotionally. I think you feel that this is almost a burden placed upon your shoulders to try to help the relationship. First, I'd ask him how important you are to him-honestly. If he won't realize that the relationship is failing and try to appriciate you more, then that is your "final cue" to drop the relationship. Anthony, from just the info that you have told me, you have two choices and both we some heartache. After three years, what are you getting out of the relationship? If you leave now, you are alone and not accustomed to be alone. Loneliness is a heartbreaker too. It sounds as if you are doing all the giving, but I don't know the other person. Are you doing something to really bug your lover? I mean like text or call 10 times a day, because your insecure? There are so many questions and hard to give answers. Check your heart and what you want out of a relationship. Set down the both of you and see if you two really are compatible. Stay safe, take care. You need to use your head and heart to find out what is best for your peace of mind. Good luck. I do know how painful that it can as I have been in the same type of situation. I chose to leave the relationship. I have a wonderful husband who loves and and respects me as I respect him, but we hav a lot of discussions. Life is always a question to seek answers everyday.

well, u need to ask yourself, do i really love u?, do i REALLY want to fight for something that " might" not happen, do i want to end it?! u need to sit down and talk to ur partner if its been a 3 year battle there has to be a reason hes staying with u
