CONCERNS: Why I may be leaving littlemonsters.com

So. Recently, I had posted my rant on what has been going on on this website. It is out of control and occurring more and more. I also feel like this site is a popularity contest to see how many more likes you get, who has the most followers, who talks to Gaga the most and who has the funniest memes. I did not come to this site to try to be popular or get beaten down by other monsters. I came to this site to let my inner artist out, my inner monster out and to be accepted by who are supposed to be my fellow Monsters: my family, brothers and sisters. It doesn't look like it is happening. I hope this clears up in the days coming or I will leave the site FOR GOOD. I can't take some of the things Monsters say and do (which they are not supposed to). I think there should be some sort of filter as to what you are allowed to say. But that is just me. I love you all (even though I may not know you) Monster xoxoxos, -AM

That's what I noticed. Some users have 10,000 followers. I wondered why. It's about looks, and so on. I think if someone doesn't want to follow me it's no big deal though I would have liked more people to follow me because they like what I am saying or doing or want to be friends. Were not going to be happy with everything in life or where we are, etc. but remember worry about what you want to do, and what makes you happy and not worry so much about what others are doing. People are VERY stuck on beautiful people or things so it's no surprise others on this site would be into beauty or the popular person for many reasons.

Last 10 days. I can see a difference. This is suppose to be a positive fan group site where fans can discuss/debate issues of importance, see photos, laugh, etc. I think that we are in a better place today. I really love this web site. I get a lot out of it. Flag those inappropriate comments. Alexis, there is another web site that Lady Gaga and her Mother co-founded if you haven't heard of it. Born This Way Foundation a d it's name is Born Brav Nation. There are a lot of youth who have come forth bravely and given their stories about bully's. Try it out. Hang around a little longer as a lot of have had thevsame frustrations. Believe, Ms. Gaga is working hard to fix the apparent problems. As a side not, she pays for this web site so I know she really cares for her fan base.

Please, don't give up on us. We aren't all like that. We, the fans, are frustrated too. I left the sight for about five days. There will always be those agitators, stalkers, bullies, etc. on a public domain. Lady Gaga has done much to have her coders clean up the web site the

Just try and enjoy being on this site - the monsters who are here only to ask for likes are out of your control, so don't worry about them. Just enjoy being a Little Monster :)

Don't leave. Give the website time to develop. It's still new and Backplane is workig on it constantly to make it better. Most monsters here are very kind, accepting and supporting one another. Just ignore what you don't like and support what's worth being supported.

aw. don't leave. i feel the same way. check my profile and look for my post re the inflated "likes" that i wrote two days ago. you'll see that you are not the only one who feels this way. i am hoping they hear us if we make enough noise.

I have felt the exact same way and almost left to but I decidd to give it a little longer and I met some really wonderful Monster's on here. Yes there are a lot of frustrating Monster's here too and I agree 100% about the popularity contest and its always the same Monsters on the hot page and in chat with Gaga. the design of LM does not work in a fair manner...yet. Maybe with time, more posts like these to bring it to attention, and some more hard work from Backplane it will turn into what Gaga intended it to be. I think if she could understand how unfair this site is to the Monster's that can't sit online all day she would want to fix the issue. We just have to wait till she or someone from the site recognizes how bad it is and works to fix it. Pease don't leave for good. You might meet your next best friend on here. You never know. Just ignore as much as possible and accept that you might not get to chat with Gaga but you can meet an awful lot of awesome Monster's if you look hard enough and give time a chance. i'm not surprised if some people here are not even monsters because monsters wouldnt do any of those things pointed out but what can we do, just hope and pray people return to the main reason we are here......

It is hard to police what people say and also let freedom ring .I agree that some of these so called monsters can be harsh and unloving and thats not what we are suposd to be about in my understanding. I hope that you find what your are looking for but try not to allow people whoare on our site make us miss out on the true monsters:)

I agree. I find things right now to be generally on the superficial side in that it is more focused on fan-based celebration of all that is the best of Gaga-ness and less focused upon what she stands for in terms of creativity, individuality, empowering others, being supportive and not hateful, etc. So in this sense, a general effort (and thought) needs to be focused upon how this site can be made more meaningful for people (like you) who are looking to express themselves, build community and make friends in this context. I think that you should give it some time and keep in mind that this is a new platform; nothing like this has been done before. I know the Backplane team is working on stuff; they just haven't tackled this aspect yet. It will get better. This site is kind of like the Old West frontier... it is a big experiment, all built upon Gaga's vision for better world. Creating awesomeness often takes time and feedback. Use the feedback tab on the lower left to tell the developers how they can make the site better.
