In my opinion, the Gaga we’re seeing starting to emerge is the real person behind the Gaga persona. Don’t get me wrong, I believe Gaga is who she is in a sense, but I also believe Gaga has become a defense mechanism for the real person to hide behind. Now that the real person behind Gaga has removed every parasite from her life and is now surrounded by true, genuine friends, she no longer feels the need to hide behind the pristine Gaga persona that kept her from doing anything we would deem as “normal”. She’s stopped with the over-the-top outfits, she’s stopped with the “be yourself” messages, and now she’s just living her life. For once in the past four years, she’s actually fucking happy because there’s nothing in her life weighing her down, and yet for some strange reason, some of her fans are not “liking the new Gaga”. This is not a “new Gaga”, this is just a Gaga we’re not used to seeing because she’s been “lying” for the past four years. She has told us over and over again that she “is Lady Gaga” and we all now believe it even though deep down we’ve always known it’s not actually true. Of course she’s not Gaga, that’s something she created so she could achieve her dreams. Something that she used as a vehicle for her ideas and creativity. She’s being a real human for once and her fans are like, “What the fuck is happening?”
