My Born This Way Ball Experience.
My Born This Way Ball Experience.
I just want to write about it. I went twice but I'll try to squish in both of them in one post. On the way there I was nervous as. Like, sick nervous. The one woman who changed and saved my life was going to be right there in all her free glory. Thankfully I wasn't sick! And I got there, bought the merchandise I wanted to, and went inside. The lights were still on and people were making their way to their seats as I was, and she was meant to be on in about half an hour. So I sat there and observed everything while waiting for the curtains to fall. The monsters looked so great! It was such a great feel and I had never been so pumped in my life. Eventually as we were getting very close to 8:30, things got intense and I was getting verrry excited. Then the lights went off (by then pretty much everyone was there) and I screamed and my heart felt like it was going to come out of my throat and into her hands or something. A bit more waiting, and the curtain dropped and I got to see the castle in all its awesomeness in person. More screaming. The spooky music came on and everyone was intense, as was I. Then you hear *bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp* (the beat from Highway Unicorn) and thanks to YouTube (yeah I cheated a bit) I knew that the Born This Way Ball had officially begun. So I screamed and started bouncing. Then the dancers came out with their G.O.A.T which got the crowd screaming. Then Gaga came out. On her unicorn. Slowly making her way around the edges of the monster pit. As soon as I heard her sing "Run run with her..." as her voice echoed around the arena I realised, "this is where I belong" and I never wanted to leave. I won't describe every song in specific detail but it was all amazing and the spooky bits in between left everyone in awe. I remember some cute, unique moments like Gaga saying "You can leave after this song if you like" when Bad Romance came on (it was cute) and when she chucked flowers around saying "He loves me, he loves me not" etc. The entire time I just felt like I was in heaven. I danced shamelessly with my paw up and sang along to all the songs. Seeing her in person was just so different to watching her in front of my computer on YouTube or whatever. I didn't have the best seats (I'm not complaining though) but to me that didn't matter. (Okay I was A BIT UPSET about not getting standing tickets), the fact that I was there, twice, was what mattered. After MTN finished and the lights came back on I felt something wash over me. A new feeling. I was pretty quick to leave although I would have preferred to stay there forever... All I want to say now is THANK YOU MOTHER MONSTER for all you have done and I am as strong as I can be right now because of you. Thanks for creating the BTW Ball and allowing so many people to have the experience. Really, I miss it so much and you'll just HAVE to come back to Melbourne gurl.
