I have only been on this app for about two weeks now and today is my 18th birthday, so I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself. My name is Macy Pearson and I became a Lady Gaga fan when I was nine years old. It’s going to sound ridiculous but I became a fan because one night I watched the movie trailer for the movie “Sing”. Bad Romance was playing in the trailer and I just remember falling in love with it. Soon after I started watching every single official music video. It’s funny but at the time I didn’t understand what music albums were. I just assumed that an artist had a music video for every single one of their songs. I would tell people that I knew every single Lady Gaga song, because that’s what I genuinely thought. As I grew up I started listening to other musical artists. Every year in school I went through a phase of listening to someone different. I started listening to Lady Gaga again when Mayhem came out. I instantly fell in love with it. I had never learned all the songs to an album so fast. I forgot how much I love Lady Gaga. As Mother Monster says, “Monsters never die.” The little monster in me didn’t die. It just went away awhile and came back. Now nine years later I love her more than I ever have, and this time I actually do know all of her songs. I haven’t ever seen Gaga in concert, but it would be a dream come true to someday see her. For the little time that I have been on this app, I have seen nothing but kindness towards one another.
