Manifesto of Brazilian little monster
Hello!
My name is Geovanne — I’m a 29-year-old lawyer, born in Bahia and currently living in São Paulo.
I’ve been a Little Monster since 2009. Lady Gaga isn’t just the soundtrack of my life — she has been, and continues to be, a source of inspiration and transformation. Her messages of self-acceptance helped me overcome the bullying I faced in my teenage years for being gay and from the Northeast of Brazil. Through her, I learned to be kinder to myself and to others. That strength led me to study Law, and today I’m proud to serve on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee at the firm where I work, helping build a more welcoming world for everyone.
Putting my love for Mother Monster into words is no easy task, but here are five pieces of proof that it’s as real as it gets:
1. I camped out for a whole week in line for Gaga’s show at Morumbi Stadium — and even got featured in a news story! Exhausting? Absolutely. Worth it? Every single second — the best concert of my life.
2. When ARTPOP was released in 2013, I launched a mini campaign with friends and family to promote Applause — I had everyone hold signs with the song’s name. The result? A personal hit, forever etched in my story.
3. This video is from a special Gaga-themed party I attended in 2017, right after a tough breakup. Whenever Gaga plays at a party, my shyness disappears!
4. My Gaga collection — small in size, huge in meaning.
5. The date of the first meeting of our Diversity & Inclusion Committee — a milestone in my journey.
