SAY NO TO ANOREXIA

Hi Little monsters, You may or may not know that the french model Isabelle Caro has died at the age of 28 from anorexia. She had been dealing with the disease since the age of 13. She was doing a campaign against anorexia and trying to make the public aware of what it can do. She would give her phone number out to anyone who spoke to her worried about it so they could talk to her whenever. This story is quite close to my heart as I have had problems with anorexia before and have been trying to fight the disease. If anyone on here is struggling to fight this or has any problems to do with this then I am always here to talk about it. I would like to help others fight this horrible disease and overcome it. Please make it aware to others and SAY NO. Much love BABYDOLL <3

I am very glad you're speaking out about this and is fighting against it. I would like to say I am proud of you for getting through it, as some haven't. I myself have not had one, but I know some online friends who have struggled with it.

I'm struggling with an eating disorder I've had from a very young age and people make fun of it all the time it's making me sick! I didn't choose this :( It's so hard..

I was anorexic for a little over a year. I went from being a healthy 130 lbs. to just 107. lbs. I couldn't bear to eat. The depression, the hate I had for my body, it really took a toll on me. Now, after a long hard year, I am a healthy 120 lbs. and I am more confident and much more happier.

Thank you for sharing this story! Ive struggled with eating disorders for 5 years now. I once was very over weight & at 14 i decided to lose weight. It was the best & worst decsion of my life! Ive suffered from, binge eating disorder, bullimia, anorexia & EDNOS. In my journey to get better ive relapsed 3 times already & starting to relapse again BUT im now at a healthy weight. Definitely not as bad as i have been so im super happy for that. Im not going to give up & its a begining to be a fight again every day but i know i will beat it once & for all!!

Hey all. I have years of experience with eating disorders and understand how devastating it can be, not only for the person with the disorder but also his or her loved ones. It has taken me years of hard work but I am finally fairly far along in recovery, although I have to be vigilant to keep from slipping back into old ways. I hope to someday have children and I only want to do it if I am healthy and happy. I think everyone struggling should have something worth working for. xoxox

I'm so glad someone is speaking out about this, I struggled with anorexia and bulimia. I thought I wasn't worthy of being happy so would punish myself by starving myself and exercising until I was sick then when my parents starting force feeding me, I starting making myself throw up. But fortunately for me, I had a serious wake up call when I caught my younger sister trying to make herself throw up and went out and got help, best decision I ever made. Going through therapy and finally getting in touch with my problem was a long arduous struggle but I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it. Thanks BABYDOLL for bringing this to light, hope those of you out there can find help and I am also here to talk with about recovery of just to chat, if need be. Paws up, brave Monsters!

It's terrible. That's my biggest challenge... and I'll never be happy with my body. :( It sucks.

I used to be anorexic.. I got down to 5.9 stone I would never eat, I would throw away food that I had pretended to eat, I was so tired I could hardly go a day at school without nearly falling asleep but now Im all better Its still left scars on my body because now because of the dramatics weight loss/gain I have stretch marks all over my thighs.. It really is a horrible disease and Im proud to have overcome it! But there are others out there who dontt!! So yes I agree!! NO TO ANOREXIA!!

I'm sorry for this comment, but... I want to be skinny. My friends are so skinny, co cute, and I'm not. That's why I haven't got my photo on profile. Your post is so clever, really. I don't wanna anorexia. But I just want to be beautiful, like our Mother. Sorry for grammatical mistakes, and I greet all Little Monsters.

Dear Babdoll, you have brought up an important discussion area. As a mental health professional, anorexia and other eating disorders fall within the realm of mental health. I have seen so many more bulimia persons than anorexia. However, both are so dangerous to your body and mind. The pressure to look soooo thin runs so deep in our youth especially. We look at the top models who are really thin, but they make money. People were not made to be a skinny stick size of a zero and minus. Everyone on every advertisement seems to be soo thin but drinking and eating all that lard laden food. You are to be commended to offer yourself to support others as well as brave enough to tell your story. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. Some of you may recall or look it up on Wikipedia, the hot model Gia. What a beauty. She did drugs, but not eating properly is just as bad. Congrats to you on winning over such a tragic disease. When I took their weights, I could not believe that they had enough to stand up. They had to resemble the Holocaust survivors. Keep posting us to let us know how things are going on with you, etc.

I support too. several years ago, i helped a friend who had this. she had had to go to the hospital. but now it's over. she's fine now. but it was really hard for her and her family

i also had this.:( it was horrible i wouldnt eat for like days and when i did it was a salad. but i got help and dont anymore:)
