There is nothing new under the sun. The trick is making it your own and adding on your own legacy. Sure on the surface Madonna took the platinum blonde look of Marilyn but she was certainly was not trying to be Marilyn. They have completely different personas and objectives. It's the same with Gaga and Madonna.
