So, after looking at these pictures in detail my interpretation of this promo shoot is Fibromyalgia. As someone who suffers from fibro I’ve seen many posts online from artist’s that share similar features whilst also trying to create what fibro would look like if it wasn’t an invisible illness. They share features like the electric/lightning effect being painted on to represent the nerve damage feeling or the use of dark purple bruise like colours for how sensitive we can feel. But Gaga uses an addition of orangey/ red colours on these lighting clusters which could represent the burning sensations that can also be felt. Her eyes also look sore and heavy with the pupils being milky, one of my side effects from fibro can stretch to blurry vision and sensitivity to lights which was verified for me by my optician. The soreness of the eyes could be from fatigue, simultaneously being reflected in her pose in the second picture. I know we are more than are illnesses and we should never let them limit us, instead embrace them and learn from them. I have absolutely no idea if any of what I’ve written is remotely connected to Gaga’s vision for the shoot but that’s my interpretation of it and I think these pictures beautiful! #LG7 #DISEASE #Fibromyalgia @LadyGaga
